An hour for you · Free virtual workshop

But, What About
What I Want?

You’re used to noticing what everyone else needs. Here’s an hour to think about you.

Maybe you want your enthusiasm back. Maybe life has changed and you’re figuring out who you are now. Or maybe you just want someone else to notice the toilet paper needs replacing.

You don’t have to know exactly what you want next to start exploring.

Sound familiar?

You want something different.
You’re still figuring out what.

Sometimes it’s one more task. Sometimes it’s a bigger question about your life.

“I’m always doing, doing, doing.”
“I need a new story.”
“I’m figuring out who I am now.”
“I want my happy, optimistic perspective back.”
“I keep saying yes because I know I can do it.”
“And why do I always have to be the one replacing the toilet paper?”

You can care about the people in your life and still want something for yourself.

You don’t have to know exactly what that is yet.

What we’ll do

Bring one situation.
Make a little room to think.

We’ll use a responsibility assessment as a starting point, then connect the ideas to a situation from your own work or life.

With guided reflection and conversation, you’ll explore what keeps happening, what makes it hard to respond differently, and what you would like to make room for.

  • Notice what keeps landing on you. What do you find yourself doing, organizing, checking, or making sure happens?
  • Look at what keeps it going. What expectations, circumstances, or familiar stories influence your response?
  • Ask, “Do I have room for me?” What matters to you that keeps getting put off?
  • Choose one manageable next step. A request, conversation, different agreement, or small change you want to try.

You’ll leave with your assessment results, a reflection handout, and one next step.

Room to think. Permission to pass.

You choose
what you share.

This is a guided conversation with time to reflect and ask questions.

You can volunteer to explore your situation with Natalie or work privately on your handout.

You don’t have to share anything you’d rather keep to yourself. You don’t need a polished explanation—or a complete plan.

The aim is to leave with one manageable step you want to try.

Meet your host

“I can handle that” used to be my automatic answer.

I love solving problems, creating programs, and bringing people together. I also know how easily that enthusiasm can become another responsibility—and then another.

Eventually, I started asking what those choices were leaving room for.
